Part's bike.

Been workin a deal to get a '83 GPZ 750 part's bike
for a while now to use as a donor for the 810 build.
$100 buck's later it's mine and it will start.

Been sittin in an impound lot for about 7 year's
when a buddy picked it up with 8200 mile's showing.

Game plan is stuff the motor in to my 650 f1,
Use the 2-1/2" longer alum. swing arm and rear set peg's
Get the usd front end from my buddy Beetle.
Slam it on the ground and build a side winder style header since
nobody sells one.

a slick and a 25hp. shot and play with the wheelie bar.

Slow at work so got a little time to play
with the gpz today.
Started to strip the junk part's I don't need.

Being ADD and all I some time's get carryed away
and this is all I got left.

kept the motor, wiring harness,
all the brake caliper's, all the brake line's and the swing arm.

Started mockin up the disk brake spoke wheel.
Need to pick up two bearing's in the morning
then do a little spacer figgering then
rework the caliber mount.

Did a little test fit this morning.

Was wondering what to do about shock/strut mount's
so I cut the factory link mount's off the bottom of the swing arm.

After a little time on the mill the'll make nice mount's.

Ran over to the chopper shop last night and
ran the arm through the blast cabinet.

While doing that Jame's chucked the swing arm spacer's
in the lathe and cut them to fit.

Ream the frame hole's to fit the axle
and the swing arm is mounted.

Next is the brake stuff.
To make the gzp caliper and mount work
I'll need to have the KZ disk turned down to about 10" Dia.

So I got some more done on the motor swap.
Motor all cleaned and painted ready to go in.

cause that's the way I want it.

got the new motor fired up yesterday but
it don't like the little 24 mil. carb's at idle.
Need to drill the pilot jet's to richin up the idle
today and then make the spacer's to finish
mounting the motor.
With the long arm on.


The cut down KZ 1000 disk with the gpz caliper.

Rode this pos last night.
The point's suck as their just worn the fuck out.
I did find out what's wrong with the elec. Ing. stuff.
Turn's out you can't turn it over with the coil wire's off the plug's
as it will smoke the coil's.

Gonna see the cdi guy today about some coil's as he said he should have some.
If not then will order point's.
